Church Planting

Church Planting Catalyst Fund

Goal: $100,000

In the past few years, we have continued to cast the vision of planting healthy churches. Summit Crossing has been a sending church for 9 churches, and when we launch out Multiply Church in the Hazel Green/Meridianville area, we’ll increase that number to 10.

As a church with a heart to plant healthy churches, we are excited to continue to offer residency for church planters through assessment, equipping, coaching, financing, ministry experience, and soul care. In 2023, we plan to continue residency for John Baker as their team prepares to launch Multiply Church in the Hazel Green/Meridianville area.

From John Baker, church planting resident 2022 and 2023:
“Thanks to your generosity during last year’s Advent season, I had the opportunity to step into the residency full-time beginning in February. Words cannot adequately express what a blessing and honor it is to be able to wholeheartedly focus on what God is calling my family and so many other families to do in the Hazel Green, Meridianville, and New Market communities.

The church planting residency has been an answer to many prayers and an appropriate step forward as we seek to be a church that plants churches. This position has not only provided the flexibility to be laser-focused on disciple-making in our community, but it has also provided the financial stability necessary for my family as we prepare to plant gospel flags throughout north and northeastern Madison County. The residency is, honestly, a “dream come true” as it puts us in a much better position as church planters.

My prayer is that Summit Crossing would continue to see the value of having full-time church-planting residents who have ample opportunity to interact with staff members and elders as well as the communities we are called to plant in.

When you give to support church-planting residents, you are making an eternal investment locally, regionally, and internationally. We will be a church that plants churches and sends families to the unreached. We will be a sister church that makes much of Jesus in northern Madison County and the nations.”

In 2023, we plan to increase our residency program to add Jake Brown as a new resident. Jake has been a fruitful pastor for around 10 years. He recently finished his Doctorate in Exegetical Preaching. He lives in South HSV, and is passionate about the gospel continuing to spread in Metro Huntsville.

Through financial support, we will continue to be a sending church, committed to planting healthy leaders to lead healthy churches in the years to come. Thank you for your generous support!
