Mission, Vision and Focus of our Team:

Vision:
To see the Kingdom of Christ advance through the lives of students from our neighborhoods to the nations for the glory of God

Mission:
Students deployed out as maturing and multiplying disciples who increasingly believe who they are in Christ as they intentionally endeavor to Know Jesus, Connect in gospel relationships, and Live for the King’s mission in their world.

Focus of our Team:
* Dependence on God in prayer
* Desire for students to be known, loved and cared for
* Discover God’s truth through faithful teaching, discussion and conversations
* Develop students in living for the kings mission in everyday life

Our Environments

This misssion is having students deployed out as maturing and multiplying disciples who increasingly believe who they are in Christ as they intentionally endeavor to Know Jesus, Connect in gospel relationships, and Live for the King’s mission in their world.

Climb Nights

Ascend and Apex (6-12th grade) students gather on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm and follow the Madison City Schools calendar.  At Climb, students are intentionally engaged in our rhythms and participate in age-specific corporate worship.

DNA

DNA (Discover/Nurture/Action) is the weekly environment where students connect in gender and age specific groups. These groups encourage one another to know the Gospel, connect in Gospel relationships, and live the Gospel out in the world. Adult mentors lead and facilitate DNA groups.

DNA groups meet on Wednesday evenings.

Family Gathering

Students are encouraged to participate in the life of their parents' Missional Community. We believe every Missional Community bears the identity of Family. Therefore, students and children are vital members of their family's MC. Their involvement can be (but is not limited to) meals, community activities, and MC gatherings. Students are encouraged to get to know the other members of the MC in order for mutually beneficial discipleship.

Local Church

Students are encouraged to attend our local gatherings with their families and to serve in a variety of roles.

Serve

Audio/Visual Team:
The AV Team helps run slides and sound for worship and teaching on Wednesday nights. The AV Team will typically serve 5:45-7:30pm to prepare and run the sound board and slides. The AV must be skilled and familiar with using the sound equipment in the Worship Center and Expedition Room.

Hospitality Team:
The Hospitality Team helps serve our students dinner on Wednesday nights 5-6 times a school year. The Hospitality Team will typically serve 5:00-7:30pm to help set up the food, serve the students, and clean up the area afterwards. If you love hospitality, then we would love to have you as a part of the team!

Mentors:
At SC3, our students' small group leaders are called Mentors. These adults engage weekly with students, during and outside of Student Events, to intentionally pursue Jesus together and walk with them in their faith journeys through middle and high school.

Safety Team:
The Safety Team helps monitor the church building on Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:45pm. The Safety Team will make sure students are in the appropriate areas, exterior doors are locked, and that the overall inside/outside area of the church building is a safe environment for our students.
